What Does “Minted Faith” Mean?
When you hear the word minted, you might think of coins freshly struck — shining, unmarked, and bearing the imprint of authority. To mint something is to give it form, to make it official, to create something of lasting value. That’s exactly what Minted Faith is about: forming, refining, and stamping our faith with the image of Christ.
Just as metal is pressed in fire and shaped into something enduring, our faith is minted through the trials, prayers, and small acts of devotion that shape our hearts. Faith is not static — it’s forged. Every time we choose prayer over distraction, love over resentment, or truth over convenience, we allow God to leave His imprint on us.

Having recently converted to Greek Orthodox, I wanted a way to start a conversation with people about God and orthodoxy. I created the first Minted Faith challenge coin to use a tool both in our own journey and to help or start a journey for those we come in contact with. Each one of us is continually minting our faith!
I believe the Holy Spirit was moving me in the direction of starting a small bookstore. As a convert there are hurdles to overcome when finding the truth.
What books do you read? What should I not read? What church to go to? What is this feeling of seeking in me?
I want to share my experiences in the search for the truth. From what baptism towels to buy to what books to read to how do I pray, I believe God wants me to share what I have learned and continue to learn on my journey to bringing God and Orthodoxy in my life.
Back to the coin…It can be given to those we come across in everyday life that can benefit from having God in their lives. Just as a prayer card is handed out, this too can be handed out to the faithful or those who may be searching for the truth.
